Marvel Studios is moving forward with its long-awaited X-Men integration into the MCU, with the first film locked for 2028. Kevin Feige has signaled ambitious plans for the franchise, suggesting there's room for extensive storytelling across multiple films. His comments indicate Marvel views the X-Men property as a multi-decade opportunity rather than a limited arc, though specifics on casting, storylines, or the scope of interconnected films remain unannounced.
- The inaugural MCU X-Men movie won't arrive until 2028, giving Marvel years to develop the approach and establish the mutant mythology within its existing continuity.
- Feige's "100 more movies" framing reflects confidence in the property's potential, though this is clearly aspirational language rather than a concrete slate.
- No details have emerged about which X-Men will lead the initial film or how the team will be introduced to audiences already familiar with the MCU's Avengers structure.
