GOG has added Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time to its Preservation Program, fulfilling a commitment made in January. The move ensures the classic Ubisoft title remains accessible on PC through GOG's platform, which specializes in maintaining older games that might otherwise become unavailable as digital storefronts shift and publishers delist legacy titles. This preservation effort reflects GOG's ongoing mission to keep significant PC games playable for future players.
- GOG followed through on its January pledge to bring the original PC version into its preservation initiative, adding another notable title to the program's catalog.
- The Sands of Time's inclusion underscores GOG's role in combating game preservation challenges tied to licensing, delisting, and format obsolescence.
