Footage purporting to show Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay has surfaced online, featuring combat, driving, and minigames alongside what appears to be the game's Leonida map layout. Rockstar Games has begun issuing DMCA takedown notices targeting the material, a response that lends credibility to at least portions of the leaked content, though the publisher has not officially confirmed the footage's authenticity. The leak's scope and Rockstar's legal action suggest the material covers substantial ground beyond simple screenshots or rumor.
- Leaked footage encompasses core gameplay systems and environmental design, with Rockstar's enforcement action implying some content validity despite lack of official confirmation.
- DMCA takedowns serve as an indirect verification mechanism when publishers move to suppress potentially legitimate material.
