PixelFX has opened a second batch of pre-orders for the Morph 2K, a scaled-down variant of their Morph 4K video scaler. The device outputs at 1080p rather than 4K and carries a $200 price tag, making it a more accessible entry point for users seeking to upscale retro analog video signals. The company expects to ship this batch within two months.
The Morph 2K targets the same audience as its higher-end sibling but at a lower resolution and cost, suggesting demand for PixelFX's scaling technology extends beyond enthusiasts willing to invest in full 4K capability.
- Morph 2K is a $200, 1080p alternative to the Morph 4K, designed for analog video upscaling.
- Pre-order batch two is expected to ship within two months.
- The product appears positioned to expand PixelFX's market reach to price-conscious retro gaming enthusiasts.
