Code Vein II's first major DLC expansion, Mask of Idris, arrives September 9, 2026. The add-on branches into its own narrative thread within the game's Forsaken World setting, complete with two companion characters and a roster of fresh weapons and Formae - the blood-based ability system central to the base game's combat. New boss encounters round out the content offering for players already invested in the post-apocalyptic action RPG that launched earlier this year.
The timing and scope suggest Bandai Namco is positioning this as a substantial expansion rather than a minor cosmetic pass, introducing both story progression and mechanical additions to extend the game's endgame.
- Mask of Idris delivers a separate story campaign set within the existing Forsaken World rather than a standalone chapter, maintaining narrative continuity.
- Two new partners and additional weapons and Formae expand both party composition and combat options.
- The September 2026 release keeps post-launch content flowing roughly nine months after the base game's 2025 launch window.
