Aggro Crab has released a free Switch 2 upgrade for Another Crab's Treasure, its souls-like adventure centered around a hermit crab protagonist. The new version arrives with save data transfer functionality, allowing players to continue from their original Switch builds without starting fresh. The upgrade brings technical improvements across both play modes, including a significantly enhanced frame rate whether docked or handheld, alongside a bump to 1080p resolution.
The move reflects a growing trend of publishers ensuring their existing libraries remain accessible on Nintendo's new hardware while providing tangible performance gains. For Another Crab's Treasure specifically, the frame rate boost represents a meaningful quality-of-life enhancement for a game built around precise, demanding combat encounters.
- Free upgrade with save transfer removes friction for existing players looking to jump to Switch 2.
- Performance increases across handheld and docked modes address a common pain point for demanding titles on portable hardware.
- Aggro Crab's proactive support mirrors publisher confidence in Switch 2's install base from day one.
