Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are receiving a limited-time distribution of Celebi, the Mythical Pokémon, available to players at no cost. The giveaway appears imminent, though specific dates and distribution methods remain unclear from available reporting.
This marks another instance of The Pokémon Company using free mythical distributions to incentivize engagement with the remakes. Celebi's availability could drive returning players back to the Generation III titles, particularly those seeking to complete their Pokédex or experience post-game content tied to the legendary time-traveling creature.
- Celebi becomes available free to FireRed and LeafGreen players in the near term.
- The distribution continues the pattern of mythical giveaways for the remakes.
