Microsoft is marking the Xbox brand's 25th anniversary with a limited-edition Series X finished in a distinctive green colorway. The special console is reportedly priced around $900, which would make it significantly more expensive than the standard Series X. Details remain sparse, but the premium positioning suggests Microsoft is targeting collectors and enthusiasts willing to pay well above the typical console price point for the commemorative hardware.
The high cost likely reflects the exclusivity of the release rather than substantial hardware upgrades. Limited-edition console variants have commanded premium prices before, though this would represent a notable premium over Microsoft's standard console offering.
- A 25th anniversary green Xbox Series X is coming as a limited-edition release with a reported price around $900.
- The price significantly exceeds standard Series X retail costs, positioning it as a collector's item rather than a mainstream purchase option.
