Elden Ring has launched on Nintendo Switch 2 and quickly claimed the top position on the platform's sales charts. FromSoftware's open-world action RPG arrives on the hybrid console with a Tarnished Edition release, marking the game's expansion to Nintendo's new hardware. The port brings the full experience to Switch 2 players, though specific details on new features or performance improvements remain limited in current reporting.
The strong debut reflects both the game's continued cultural momentum since its 2022 release and the Nintendo Switch 2's early library appeal. As one of the platform's earliest major third-party ports, Elden Ring's immediate sales dominance suggests strong demand for AAA experiences on the new hardware.
- Elden Ring claimed Nintendo Switch 2's top sales position upon launch, driven by its Tarnished Edition release.
- The port represents a significant early third-party title for the Switch 2, capitalizing on the game's enduring playerbase.
