Clear River Games and City Connection are reviving the Jaleco property Ninja JajaMaru with a new hack-and-slash action RPG titled Ninja JajaMaru: Yokai Night Parade. The game is headed to Nintendo Switch 2, PC, and PS5, with an April 2027 launch window. The announcement came during the Pixel Arcadia showcase, marking a modern return for a classic franchise that's been dormant for years.
The multi-platform approach signals confidence in the project's reach beyond Nintendo's ecosystem alone. Whether this represents a genuine comeback for the dormant Jaleco IP or remains a niche revival depends heavily on execution - action RPGs are crowded territory, and retro IP revivals don't always land with contemporary audiences.
- Ninja JajaMaru: Yokai Night Parade launches April 2027 across Switch 2, PS5, and PC as a new action RPG.
- The revival comes from Clear River Games and City Connection, bringing Jaleco's decades-old ninja franchise into the modern era.
- Multi-platform release suggests publishers see broader appeal than just Nintendo loyalists.
