Atari has confirmed that Carrier Command 2, its real-time strategy title, will launch on both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The game supports competitive play against AI opponents or other players in real-time tactical scenarios. The announcement extends the game's reach beyond its current platforms to Nintendo's current and next-generation hardware, marking another third-party commitment to the Switch 2's launch window.
- Carrier Command 2 joins a growing roster of RTS games attempting the genre's notoriously difficult transition to console and portable hardware.
- The dual-platform release suggests Atari is hedging between Switch's installed base and early Switch 2 adoption curves.
