Hamster's Console Archives series is adding Bubble Bobble to its Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 lineup tomorrow. The 1988 Taito arcade classic tasks players with rescuing Betty and Patty through bubble-trapping platforming action. The emulated release continues Hamster's ongoing effort to preserve arcade titles on modern hardware, making the nostalgic action-puzzle game accessible to current-gen console owners.
- Bubble Bobble arrives August 26 across Switch 2 and PS5 as part of the Console Archives collection.
- The arcade original dates to 1988, positioning this as a legacy title rather than a contemporary release.
- Console Archives remains Hamster's primary vehicle for bringing older arcade games to modern platforms.
