Capcom has officially revealed the first trailer and screenshots for Mega Man: Dual Override, confirming the action platformer is headed to PS5 and PS4 in 2027. The reveal introduces Proto Man as a playable character joining the roster alongside Mega Man himself. This marks the series' return with a new entry that Capcom is positioning as a significant installment in the long-running franchise.
The inclusion of Proto Man suggests Dual Override will expand on the traditional Mega Man formula by offering multiple protagonists with presumably distinct abilities and playstyles. While details remain sparse following this initial unveiling, the decision to feature dual characters in the title appears to reflect the game's core design philosophy around character variety.
- Proto Man joins Mega Man as a playable character in Dual Override, expanding beyond the series' typical single-hero structure
- PS4 and PS5 releases confirmed for 2027, with this trailer serving as the first substantial gameplay look
- The reveal signals Capcom's continued investment in refreshing the classic platformer franchise
