Spike Chunsoft has aligned pricing across all platforms for Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, permanently reducing both the standard and deluxe editions on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch to match their Xbox and Steam counterparts worldwide. The adjustment brings console versions in line with PC pricing, marking a significant correction after a period of platform parity disparity.
The price drop amounts to a 60% reduction, making the detective mystery title considerably more accessible across its full release landscape. This leveling of costs suggests the publisher is working to eliminate friction points that may have discouraged cross-platform purchases.
- PS5 and Switch editions now cost the same as Xbox and Steam versions globally, eliminating previous pricing inconsistencies.
- Both standard and deluxe editions received the permanent reduction.
- The 60% discount represents a substantial price cut aimed at broadening the game's audience.
