What is happening now

Pokémon Unite is a team-based strategy game that launched in July 2021 across mobile and Switch platforms. The game has continued to expand its playable roster through 2026, with recent additions including Reshiram, Solgaleo, Morpeko, Toxtricity, Flareon, and Jolteon. The game marked its fifth anniversary with a dedicated celebration event and an official tournament theme track. However, significant changes are coming to the competitive landscape. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that Unite will be dropped from the World Championships lineup starting in 2027, ending its tenure in official tournament play. This decision follows Zeta Division's victory in what will be the final championship season for the title.
