Forza Horizon 6 is an open-world racing game set in Japan focused on car collection, customization, and festival progression; it has no traditional narrative plot.

What is happening now

Forza Horizon 6 is a racing game that launched in May 2026 for Xbox Series S/X and PC. The game has since become one of the year's strongest revenue performers on Steam, though its post-launch period has been marked by both steady content updates and technical challenges. The Festival Playlist continues to rotate through seasonal challenges, with Series 2 now progressing through winter and spring content featuring new cars and rewards. Meanwhile, Xbox and Playground Games have been actively addressing a significant save data corruption issue that affected players over recent weeks, rolling out system updates designed to prevent further data loss. Coverage has also focused heavily on skill mechanics and location guides, helping players master techniques like drift tapping, threading the needle, and barrel rolls while hunting for hidden collectibles across the game world.
