About
The Simpsons Game is based on the animated television series The Simpsons. It features an original storyline written by Tim Long, Matt Selman, and Matt Warburton. In the self-referential plot, the family discovers that they are forced to participate in another The Simpsons video game.
What is happening now
The Simpsons Game is a platform title that launched in 2007 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, bringing the long-running animated series to interactive form. The game has largely faded from official circulation over the years, but it's recently found new life through community efforts. Fans have successfully created a PC port using a recompilation approach, making the game accessible on modern computers for players who never got the chance to experience it on its original platforms or those seeking to revisit it.
