About
F-Zero 99 is a 99-player battle royale take on Nintendo's classic racing series, released on Switch in September 2023. The game condenses the series' high-speed circuit racing into a competitive multiplayer format where players are progressively eliminated until a single racer remains. The game has continued to receive post-launch support through seasonal content. The Dealer's Choice season recently wrapped with a finale stream event, and Nintendo has been maintaining the title with regular updates - most recently version 1.7.2, which addressed unspecified issues without introducing major new features. The focus appears to be on stability and refinement rather than substantial gameplay additions at this stage.
