A retro shooter inspired by the older Wolfenstein and Doom games. A tribute of sorts, if you like, where I aspire emulate the games I love the most and that requires a certain amount of skill to complete, while adding a few personal and more current-day touches.
What is happening now
Darkenstein 3D is a 3D adventure game released in October 2025 for PC. The title comes from solo developer Rowye and publisher MicroProse. Shortly after its release, the team announced plans for its first major expansion, Total Trampage, which is scheduled to arrive on Steam in October 2026. Beyond that announcement, coverage of the game remains limited, so details on what the DLC will add remain scarce at this stage.
