Pokémon Pokopia is a simulation game developed by Koei Tecmo that launched on Nintendo Switch in March 2026. Despite CEO Hisashi Koinuma admitting the studio had no concrete sales expectations going in, the title found significant commercial success after strong critical reception from overseas media ahead of release. It has maintained a consistent presence in UK software charts since launch. The game has built momentum through regular limited-time events. A Zorua-themed Hide-and-Sneak Contest ran in mid-July, allowing players to compete solo or cooperatively for trophies and rewards. Beyond live events, Koei Tecmo has committed to expanding the experience with paid DLC - the underwater-themed "Bubbly Basin" launched in early August, following the studio's initial vision to create the best-selling Pokémon spin-off title.
