The franchise has been doubling down on the app's cultural presence lately. Recent efforts include a collaboration with Pokémon Horizons: The Series bringing new creatures to the app, a special-edition Fitbit featuring Pikachu theming, and merchandising initiatives like character plushes designed after how Pokémon appear while sleeping. The company has also expanded its real-world footprint with takeovers like a Poké Ball-themed hotel in Japan and a prominent display at Las Vegas' Sphere. The game's soundtrack reached streaming platforms, further embedding it into the broader Pokémon media ecosystem.
