What is happening now

Controller is a PC simulator released in August 2023. Beyond the game itself, recent coverage has focused heavily on peripheral hardware announcements and updates across the gaming landscape. Valve pushed out a stable Steam Client update addressing the Steam Controller and related features, while PC players have seen pricing advantages on certain controllers compared to console versions. Separate from the game, industry patents have surfaced suggesting potential next-generation controller designs - particularly Sony's speculated PS6 model with modular components and detachable touchscreen, potentially addressing longstanding durability concerns. Retro gaming collaborations have also emerged, with Playtiles partnering on limited-edition controller bundles alongside classic-styled titles.
