What is happening now

Starsand Island is a cozy life sim that invites comparisons to Stardew Valley, offering farming, adventure, and relationship-building gameplay. The game spent several months in Early Access on PC and Xbox starting in February before its full 1.0 release on August 18, 2026, which simultaneously launched across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The full release marks a significant expansion for the title, introducing online multiplayer for up to four players and new dating mechanics alongside the existing farming and life-sim systems. A physical edition also arrived on Switch 2 in November 2026. The broader platform availability - particularly the console launches - represents a major step in bringing the life sim to a wider audience beyond its initial early-access audience.
