About
Blinx: The Time Sweeper is a platform game developed by Artoon and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It was released for the Xbox on October 7, 2002. A sequel, Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space, was released for the Xbox in 2004.
Story
Blinx, a Time Sweeper, on his mission to prevent the end of the world. The game revolves around Blinx's (then-near-unique) Time System. Blinx is outfitted with a magical vacuum cleaner, known as a Sweeper (or TS-1000), with which he can exert some control over Time itself; slowing, speeding up, recording, reversing, or stopping its flow entirely.
What is happening now
Blinx: The Time Sweeper is a platformer originally released on Xbox in 2002, where players control a cat armed with a vacuum cleaner to manipulate time and navigate obstacle-filled levels. The game has remained largely dormant since its original launch, though it developed a modest cult following over the years. The title recently gained renewed attention through Microsoft's backwards compatibility initiative for PC. Blinx now runs on Windows alongside several other classic Xbox titles, bringing the time-manipulating platformer to modern systems with enhanced features. The re-release marks a rare opportunity for new audiences to experience the game's distinctive vacuum-based mechanics.
