What is happening now
Crystar is a role-playing adventure where players navigate emotional storytelling through combat and narrative exploration. The game launched in 2018 across PlayStation and later expanded to PC and Nintendo Switch, establishing creator Fuyuki Hayashi's original series.
The Crystar franchise continues to gain traction internationally, with the series reaching over 770,000 copies sold worldwide when combined with its spiritual successor, Crymachina. The emotional core that defined Crystar has influenced subsequent entries in FuRyu's broader Cry series, with developers crediting the original's approach as they push the franchise's narrative intensity further with newer titles.
