Pokémon Masters takes place on the island of Pasio, where the rules of battle are different and the treasured bond between Trainer and Pokémon is taken to the next level with sync pairs—the combination of a Trainer and their partner Pokémon. For the very first time in a Pokémon game, Trainers and their partner Pokémon from every Pokémon region will come together to form sync pairs. Players can team up with duos such as Korrina & Lucario, Brendan & Treecko, Clair & Kingdra, and many more. With all sorts of Trainers on Pasio, there are sure to be some exciting and unexpected encounters in this new story.

What is happening now

Pokémon Masters EX is a strategy RPG where players collect and battle with Sync Pairs - trainers paired with their Pokémon - in turn-based team combat. The game launched in 2019 and has continued adding characters and events since. The game recently welcomed Arc Suit versions of Diantha and Geeta as new Sync Pairs, introducing fresh team-building options. A summer-themed event kicked off at the end of July, offering seasonal content and rewards. Looking ahead, the developers are bringing trainers from Pokémon Legends: Z-A into the game as Sync Pairs, continuing the pattern of drawing characters from across the wider Pokémon franchise to expand the roster.
