About
Uncharted 2 is an action game that arrived on PC in September 2021. Recent retrospective coverage has examined the game's legacy, particularly how its acclaimed set pieces influenced the series' trajectory. According to a designer, the critical success of Uncharted 2's cinematic action sequences created pressure to expand them further in Uncharted 3, ultimately at the expense of that sequel's narrative coherence. The observation highlights a common challenge in successful franchises: the difficulty of iterating on what worked without letting spectacle overshadow storytelling.
