What is happening now

FromSoftware's Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods is an action game set to launch on December 31, 2026. The studio has been methodical with the title's development, having opted not to rush a compromised Elden Ring port to the new hardware in favor of building something designed for the platform from the ground up. Ahead of its full release, The Duskbloods entered a closed network test phase in August. Leaked gameplay footage has circulated showing fast-paced combat featuring aerial maneuvers, smooth character movement, and unconventional elements like dinosaur transformations and firearms in what appears to be PvPvE encounters. The test phase has also revealed a roster of 14 character classes with varied mechanical identities. FromSoftware has been distributing network test codes to participants, and early player impressions are being gathered as the studio gathers data ahead of launch.
