Astro Bot 2024

About

Astro Bot is PlayStation 5's exclusive 3D platformer that launched in September 2024. The game has become a centerpiece in the recent revival of the genre alongside releases like Rayman, drawing appreciation from industry figures. Beyond the gaming space, the title is expanding into physical merchandise with a dedicated Lego set arriving in October, part of a broader trend of video game franchises receiving Lego adaptations. Since release, the platformer has seen its retail price drop to historic lows. Meanwhile, technical developments have put Astro Bot in the spotlight for different reasons - early PS5 emulation work has already demonstrated the ability to run the game, and resourceful PC gamers have managed to boot it on personal computers despite its exclusive status. The combination of critical acclaim and expanding reach across formats and merchandise suggests the game's cultural footprint continues to grow.
