The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and its sequel continue to see new life across multiple platforms and media. Rise of the Tomb Raider recently launched on Nintendo Switch 2, marking the second entry in the reboot trilogy's arrival on the platform. The franchise has expanded beyond games into comics, with a crossover between G.I. Joe and Tomb Raider announced, while the series received cultural recognition through inclusion in the National Videogame Museum's "Together We Play" exhibition.
Not all recent projects have come to fruition, however. A VR game developed by Vertigo Games' Amsterdam studio was cancelled earlier this year before its official announcement. Meanwhile, the franchise continues its presence in PC hardware bundles, with recent Intel CPU promotions including Tomb Raider titles as incentives.
