Sonic Gets Physical, Silent Hill Expands, Marvel Fighting Game Rounds Out Year One

Oct 12 - Oct 18, 2026

Sega is preparing a physical compilation for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds as the racer enters its second year of post-launch content. A retailer listing has surfaced for a "Year One Edition" that bundles the game's inaugural season, positioning itself as a catch-up option for players who want a complete package before the sequel content arrives. It's a practical move for a live-service title looking to bring in newcomers and smooth the transition into the next phase.

On the live-service front, Embark Studios is weighing a more dramatic restructuring of Arc Raiders. The studio is seriously considering splitting the game's PvE and PvP components into separate experiences rather than keeping them unified under one roof. An executive producer confirmed the possibility is "very possible," though the team acknowledges the logistical challenges involved. It's a notable admission that the hybrid approach may not be working as intended.

Konami, meanwhile, is thinking bigger about Silent Hill's future. Rather than treating the franchise revival as a one-time affair, leadership has outlined plans for multiple waves of new games. Producer Motoi Okamoto revealed the company is evaluating several projects, with the structured language around "second and third waves" suggesting a methodical rollout rather than a flood all at once. Details remain scarce, but the company's commitment to sustained expansion of the horror franchise is clear.

Finally, Arc System Works has rounded out the first-year roster for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls on PS5. Jane Foster, Venom, and Jubilee mark the final character additions for the game's debut season, arriving alongside character art from Peach Momoko. The studio also confirmed a Klyntar-themed stage is coming in Spring 2027. The fighting game has already made its competitive mark at Evo, and these reveals suggest the developer is thinking well beyond launch momentum.
