BBG Entertainment is bringing the classic 1983 platformer Manic Miner to Nintendo Switch this fall. The port marks an authorized return for the foundational arcade-style title, representing a new interpretation rather than a straight emulation of the original. The specific nature of what distinguishes this Switch version from its predecessor remains sparse in available details, though the involvement of the original creators suggests some level of creative oversight in its modernization.
- The Switch release lands this fall as an officially sanctioned project, distinguishing it from unauthorized ports.
- BBG Entertainment is handling the revival of a game that helped define early platformer design.
