Capcom has expanded access to Onimusha: Way of the Sword with a new demo arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 today, following earlier demo releases on other platforms. The action RPG, launching September 4 on PlayStation 5, casts players as Miyamoto Musashi navigating early Edo-period Kyoto as it falls under attack from supernatural creatures called Genma. Alongside the Switch 2 debut, Capcom rolled out fresh content for the existing demo, introducing a second quest that takes players through the Oni Refuge and expands the playable story segment with new gameplay mechanics.
- The Switch 2 demo marks the game's multiplatform demo availability, giving Nintendo's new hardware early access to Onimusha ahead of the September 4 PS5 launch.
- Updated demo content adds a second quest location with expanded narrative and fresh mechanics, giving returning players more to experience beyond the original demo slice.
