CD Projekt RED has unveiled a remastered version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt arriving across PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch 2, and PC. The announcement coincides with the studio making the game's two major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, freely available to all existing owners starting immediately. The publisher also teased an upcoming new expansion titled Songs of the Past, though specifics remain limited at this stage.
The move signals CD Projekt RED's continued investment in the nearly decade-old RPG while expanding its audience through next-gen console ports. Bundling the prior DLC as free content removes a barrier for returning players, particularly those moving to new hardware.
- Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions are now free for all current owners, effective immediately.
- The remaster targets current and upcoming consoles including Switch 2's debut lineup.
- A new expansion, Songs of the Past, has been announced with a teaser trailer shown but minimal details revealed.
