Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have announced that Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 following its October 14, 2026 launch on other platforms. The retro-styled first-person shooter sequel marks the series' expansion onto Nintendo's upcoming hardware. The developer released a trailer showcasing the game's violent aesthetic, emphasizing that this entry differs from its predecessor by introducing a companion character alongside the protagonist Caedo.
The Switch 2 port represents continued third-party support for Nintendo's new console, particularly for titles with demanding visual presentations. Boltgun 2 will compete in the Switch 2's early library against other ambitious ports, though the exact timing of the Switch 2 release remains unspecified beyond "shortly after" the October 2026 debut.
- Boltgun 2 launches October 14, 2026 on primary platforms, with Switch 2 arriving afterward in the same window.
- The sequel adds a co-protagonist to break away from the first game's lone-operative formula.
- Third-party developers continue green-lighting Switch 2 ports for graphically demanding titles.
