About
Resident Evil 3 came out on April 3, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, then for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 13, 2022 and for iOS and Mac on March 18, 2025. The main story takes about 3.5 hours, doing everything about 17 hours.
Resident Evil 3 is a remake of the classic survival-horror entry, released in 2020 across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game follows Jill Valentine as she attempts to escape Raccoon City while pursued by the relentless Nemesis. The remake has faced persistent criticism since launch for being perceived as a step backward compared to its predecessor. Recent news suggests Capcom itself may acknowledge this reception: the game has appeared at notably reduced pricing on Switch 2, signaling the publisher's awareness that the 2020 remake failed to land with audiences in the way the series' other recent entries have.
