About
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a kart racing game for Nintendo Switch that launched in 2017. The Switch version expanded on the original Wii U release, becoming a flagship title for the platform with strong reception. Recent coverage has centered on the arrival of Mario Kart World, Nintendo's first brand new entry in the series in over a decade, which has naturally prompted comparisons with Deluxe. The long-standing racer continues to maintain a presence in gaming discourse, with public figures occasionally taking to the game on stream and community members weighing the merits of the older and newer entries.
